Affordable, and 335-ish
To be honest though, I don't think a semi hollow will add much to the ones you already have.
The new amp I have is perfect!
I don’t know why I always try to avoid Ibanez. They offer great guitars, but I’m not attracted to them
I have only one, the Tele G&L. I sold the archtop and the strat a few months back. I’m very happy with the Tele, but I need another guitar with different strings, setup, pickups, etc.
Oh in that case
I've owned many Ibbys, never a bad one.
I’m afraid it’s the same quality as DAngelico. I wasn’t satisfied with it, although its price was €700. If I’m going to buy a new guitar, I wouldn’t spend more than €400. I’ll study the subject well before I decide.
Well, it's hard to judge quality by price, especially in a price range where quality control is one of the activities they save on. There are several Ibanez's around 400, as well as others. You also have Harley Benton and although they are really good the quality is definitely lesser than the Ibanez's.
TWO 335s, and a wicked semi-hollow 6 string bass too!
I’ll start saving for next year. I’d rather buy a higher quality one.
That bass guitar
Damn! I should bid, I might be the lucky one
Ooh, you forgot this one:
The Guild Starfire. One of my personal favorite guitars.
Very nice looking guitar! Thanks!
High gain with tone all the way down?
I had one of these a long time ago. Sold it to friend of mine to take to college with him
It looks like they are both using blackface Fenders, which wouldn't be particularly high gain amps.
Tone definitely not rolled all the way back either... check out Adam Rogers' sound on that first guitar solo.
It's got some bite and a little snarl to it.
Steve Cardenas has a bit of a darker sound, but it's also got some bite.
Neither one of them has what i'd call a stereotypical jazz tone, but i like both sounds a lot!
Actually, you don't. You may want another one, but you don't need one.
Almost anything you have to play, you could play on that ASAT.
i have quite a few guitars now, but at one time i did all of my playing on a mid 80s Kramer Focus 3000D
complete with DiMarzio pickups configured SSH and a full Floyd Rose setup... including jazz gigs.
i can tell you, i got some looks whenever i pulled that thing out of the gig bag, but at the end of the night,
i always got compliments on my tone. Go figure...
i guess i just learned to get the best out of the equipment i had at the time.
i still have that guitar, too.
Don't worry about it -- just take an anti-inflammatory.
i've linked this before, but it bears repeated viewing:
Here's another good one (pay extra attention to point #6!):
But if you've gotta have one of those semi-hollows, here are some good choices:
I recently sold my Epi 335 dot because the body size just didn't fit me so it didn't get much play time. I've been gassing for something to replace it so I ordered a Firefly like above in an iced tea burst finish. I expect delivery this Sunday.
What do you think of yours Keith268? They get pretty good reviews and the price is definitely right.
