I just sliced up my neighbor's stepper machine with an angle grinder!

The last couple of weeks there has been a derelict stepper out on the back porch where the bbq was intended to go. I asked everyone save for the last person that I expected to own an exercise machine...manchild!

Yeah, it was his and he grabbed it for scrap metal as he and his GF seem to be in the Sanford business as she has a new/old truck now and they are scaring up all of the scrap metal they can find. I was told it would be leaving soon so I asked if it was okay to take it apart (they complained about the weight as to the delay moving it:whistling:). I was told that I could go to town so I scrapped it proper! Bolts, axles, bearings...you name it and my great score was a 3' long 2"x4"x1/8" piece of steel tube that I cut from the upright beam, some 1/4" brackets and the flywheel which is destined to be a very heavy table clock. Totally fun for me and a metal score to boot...yes, I kept the electronics! The rest should be leaving in about an hour.

I thought about grabbing up "The Cutterator" but quite frankly, the grinder was faster, in fact I used two different grinders for the job. One was a corded 6a that I picked up on sale at Princess Auto this morning and the other is my DeWalt 20v cordless. The cordless unquestionably, demonstratively and hands down "bare arse" spanked (same discs) the corded but it is always good to have multiple grinders!:sneaky:

If they don't get rid of it soon, teach 'em about the "gazintas."

It's an arithmetic word -- Two gazinta four, four gazinta eight,... and if you don't get this thing off the porch, five of these gazinta your lip!

(with apologies to Fred and Bubba)

I have a 30yr old Porter Cable Tiger saw that I bought new back when Porter Cable meant something. Works/looks like day one and with the DeWalt DCB1800 PowerStation, all of my corded tools become cordless!

I need a new 7 inch grinder. Killed my last one but it has already been rebuilt once. Not rebuilding a rebuild. My 4 1/2 is still plugging along though

Inexpensive 4.5" grinders are ideal for multiples because of cheap mainly. Multiples with sanding, grinding, cutting, wire wheels etc. dedicated to purpose is affordable. You never really overwork more than one or two at a time and if they fail...pay the price and buy another!

I usually buy DeWalt. I get a few years out of them at least . The small ones I replace, the large ones get one rebuild then replaced
