A couple guitars and handful of pedals ago, I told myself that I was all set, I just need to focus on practicing and saving up for my dream acoustic, a Gibson Hummingbird. But my goals shifted a little bit, I've gotten way more into pedals and looping, playing with "soundscapes". And I've been using Musicians Friend as a crutch, building up my repertoire with the excuse of earning "rewards points" that I'll eventually apply to the one guitar I feel is missing: a Fender Jazzmaster. That was my New Year's resolution, and I have a lot of points now. The trouble is, I don't need or want anything else. I need to break my habit of browsing gear and using these stupid points as an alibi. On approximately July 23, all of my points will be redeemable. That's what I need help with: don't buy any more gear until it's officially National Buy A Jazzmaster Day. Then I'll be done with MF, too. For a guy who has trouble going more than a couple weeks, I'll need your help. Maybe this thread will stay alive that long?
