    Ahhhh the good old days!

Check out like a Friday. I'd screen from Rebecca > Allegro No Troppo (guess who ordered that) > Red Dawn > Pink Flamingos in one day.

Think it'll be on The ABC Sunday Night Movie anytime soon? Or is it more a Masterpiece Theater sort of adventure? That's where I saw I, Claudius...Masterpiece. I was like 'Hey, that's Picard!' but spouse wasn't interested. She thought I was talking about Picardy. She wasn't much of a Next Gen fan.

Until our daughter developed a crush on Jordy.
Then spouse felt duty bound to watch. That's her story and there is no shaking it...

Anyway, daughter at the time was perhaps 4. Maybe 5. So any adult who had the temerity to capture the affection of a 4-5 year old had some explaining to do. Daughter thought the show was called "Captain". Her favorite show was either Blues Clues (with Steve, not without) or Animaniacs.

    I preferred Animaniacs.

Jim Henson had the short lived show Caligula Babies we all remember, but that's about it. No, I think Bob Guccione only had one film in mind.

Caligula (Italian: Caligola) is a 1979 erotic historical psychological thriller film focusing on the rise and fall of the eponymous Roman Emperor Caligula.

So Picard/Patrick Stewart was in Star Trek, and Malcolm McDowell was in Star Trek and Caligula, so there's that.

By the way, could you figure out if Peter Weller was actually playing the guitar in Buckaroo Bonsai?
That film has held up over time fairly well.

I worked in a NYC post house in the eighties. They had a screening room. I remember learning how to trim the carbon arc without going blind, and getting a perfect change-over. One-two-three NOW

Let me tell you a little bit about Tyler Durden. Tyler was a night person. While the rest of us slept, he worked. He had one part-time job as a projectionist. A movie doesn’t come all on one big reel. lt comes on a few. Someone has to switch the projectors at the exact moment that one reel ends and the next one begins. You can see little dots come into the upper right corner of the screen. ~ The Narrator
