When I give in to GAS too quickly, I almost always end up with buyers remorse. Sit on the idea for a few weeks. Watch some videos and stuff in the meantime

Goodness! That's beautiful! @JB74 is that Koa?

Too bad Fender quit making the Black Dove model. I almost pulled the trigger on that one when it came out.

They are pretty hard too find now, and people want a lot of money for them. Pretty sure it's probably cheaper to assemble your own.

You should have as many guitars as it takes to make all the kinds of sounds you want to make.

So you should have at least 1 of each of these:

Strat (if only 1 it should be SSS)
24.75" scale solidbody with tune-o-matic and humbuckers (not necessarily LP, although that fits the bill)
Tele (if only 1 it should have the 3 barrel bridge and regular single coils)
    Steel string acoustic
    Classical
Full hollow or semihollow (330, 335 and the like)
    Jazz box
    Solid-body with P90s

So 8 basic categories. And you have 8 guitars. I would have to know what's in your collection to know what categories you're short in.

If you haven't got a solid body with P90s, a Tele with P90s would certainly scratch that itch. If you don't have a Tele at all, you should just get a Tele.

Teles must be popular in the Seattle area. You can find used Strats and Les Pauls all day on Craigslist.
But ... telecasters are like hen's teeth.

I don't have interest in a classical or steel string though. I 'may' keep it if given to me.

I definitely have all the rest. But my p90 hollow body is a project V I made. Sounds fabulous but not very comfortabl. Standing up it's ok but not my ideal neck.

Sounds like you've got a candidate for replacement or modding.

But everyone needs a guitar with P90's, so I'm not going to talk you out of it. That would be blasphemy.

Naw, thread doesn't appear to be overproduced studio output.
