I thought it was going to be “I woke up this morning and she was gone”!
Yup. One with a P90 neck pickup. Another G&L with MFD pickups which have some of the flavor of P90s and more and 3 Epiphones with P90s. An LP, an ES339, and a Casino.
I did have a Tele Thinline with P90s but sold if in favor of my Les Paul '56 Gold Top.
If I come across and Tele with twin P90s that I like I'll probably buy it as well or I may just build one. Haven't done that in awhile so I'm over due for another project.
With 4-way switching
Sorry, a similar realisation led me to commission a custom P90 (poles not slugs, overwound among other tweaks) and build an alder lake placid Tele with a 12” roast maple neck, custom neck p90, Texas special bridge and greeny middle position.
I don’t think that’s the answer you were looking for…
Einstein was one of my favorite guitar players.
A tele with P90s would be great for slide. You might need more than one for different tunings?
I absolutely need a mahogany Tele with P90s. Thanks for giving me the idea.
The question is not getting a Tele with P90s. That's easy. Get it. The question is which P90s.
There’s always Lollars!
Happy new guitar day. Send pics
Is 11 too many?
You definitely NEED a Tele with P90s
I've been gasing for one of those. Been saving up and got the cash. Problem is they're out if stock everywhere and it needs to be brand new.
That comes AFTER you buy your twelfth Tele.
about 20 years ago, bought a tele with humbuckers. It didn't really sound like a Les Paul and it didn't really sound like a Tele either. Really didn't like it, got rid of it. My advice is to play something close to what you want first a few times to make sure you are getting the sound you like.
(Just my $.02 worth)
You're in the wrong place if you want someone to talk you out of it. This is a forum for guitar junkies; we've all had those days.
I knew this. Clearly.
