    It never got bad in my area… no wind or rain to speak of. Mother Nature does what she wants. Hope the people in New Orleans and Baton Rouge are safe.

    This image is deceiving. There is more going on west of the eye than depicted.

    Radar returns are being partially blocked by the heavy rain east of the eye. The tiny dark circle is the radar site itself.

    Last I heard, NO was almost totally out of power.
    Must have been around 9 PM Eastern time.
    Mrs TD said something like 13 out of 14 major power feeds were out of service.

    An 8 to 10 inch branch just snapped and hit back of the house, better than the 24 inch tree though.

    Lost most or all of a 30 inch oak tree....wind is much lower now with occasional high gusts. I think the after photos are gonna be bad in the morning.

    No power. Uprooted a 30 inch oak and it brushed the house. No major damage. Lost 50 feet of fence. We got lucky.

    @pazman6 - bummer about the tree really, they do take a while to grow. But more than anything, just glad to know you and yours are safe.
