It's going straight back to the IRS to pay what I owe for last year.

This conversation hits close to home, because I bought a new guitar today.

We start our county-wide lockdown tonight, so our locally owned guitar store is going to be shuttering for 2 weeks. It was a purchase I had been waffling on for a couple months, for all the regular guitar player reasons, and then for all the new reasons, too (like, do I want to physically go to a store?).

The timing of things tipped the scales, as I figured they would want the business, and I want them to stay open.

This stimulus appears to be an advance of cash from next years potential return !
Food for thought before spending frivolously.

So in a sense you have to pay it back if you get one?

I’m not sure but I’ve noticed the (advance)term being used now which leads me to believe
my return next year will be $2400 less next year. Take my observation with a grain of salt :D

    I wish

I got some small things I needed and will probably be getting a power supply to finish my little pedalboard When the money comes but have to be responsible so unfortunately the custom shop has to wait.

We were watching Purple Rain lastnight and when the screen where Appleacia whatever her name is gives him the famous guitar came on I was like ... “ya know ... I’d be happy with that American Special I’ve been wanting”. LOL

Paying down my credit cards and putting some in my money-market. Don't go nuts with it and get in deeper.

I think I'm going to treat myself to a semi-retirement
gift. April is the 1st month I received my first social security check. Since the virus is screwed up my spring plans, one of these should help get me back into the mood to play.

Which one looks the best ?
I'm leaning toward the Vintage burst.

    Epiphone Masterbilt Century Olympic

This video sold me on it. The Olympic is the one the dude is playing the accompaniment on.
