I think if you gave me a half million I could find a way. But I likely would find something else to spend it on.

This is precisely why I refuse to fall into the pedal rabbithole.

The Klon is actually 2 Overdrives in one that work opposite of each other. As you turn the gain down the clean drive is boosted. As you turn the gain up the dirty is. They both are different circuits than the TS too. It also runs on 9 volts but has a cjarge pump that boosts the power to 18 volts and is a buffered signal circuit.

I think some people here are lacking in a sense of humor. Josh listed this as a jab at the fact that the prices are out of control for this specific pedal. It's a joke and he does not expect anyone to seriously entertain the listing as serious. It's definitely unique and worth something in terms of pedal history value. But yeah, I'm pretty sure he's just joshin'.

His shop is but I think he lives in Atlanta or somewhere close to there. I don't know anything about the NAMBLA bit but I can say that the religious organization, which is what I believe turned him onto the Grandview area, he was affiliated with here has had some shadiness in it's past. 'Nuff said there before it gets us in trouble.

I'll tell you another trick folks use a lot is stacking the TS with a Klon or Klone. Either before or after to boost leads into scream. Before will thicken the sound, after you can use it as a boost. And they work very well together.

Flying monkeys are so last century... Flying piranhamonkeys are all the rage these days and they are more environmentally friendly :)

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS!!!

Don't just look at the price read his description. Also notice the Ibanez EM5 delay for $6,769. Obviously all done in jest. I think he's got a great sense of humor.

Finnegan potted the boards on his builds so they could not be straight out copied, so those who cloned them were forced to obtain an original and analyze the EQ and gain curves, then try to build something that matched.

And yes, a hundred pedal makers have made their version of the Centaur, and many of them are pretty good copies.

And there are a gazillion awesome sounding tube amps. but Dumbles still cost a buttload of money for the same reason as Finnegan's pedals.

Yeah..my argument wasn't that they cost..they obviously do. It was more about value which is more amorphous.

Well.... and given that the 500k is apparently a joke...

OTOH, one of the people with it in his cart might be Joe Bonamassa.

    Eric Johnson can't afford it.
