Cool. People tell me the Golds are the best ones for a sweet Strat tone. I have three different Lace pickups in the Strat I mostly use for recording: Red, Silver and Blue. They're more humbucker-like, but I've had them in the same guitar for years now, and they always deliver. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

 

Great choice. I have a set of Gold in my Squier Standard, awesome pups.

 

Three Golds in my Strat Plus.
They’ve been there since it was built, and they’ll continue to make sweet sounds.
I think they are keepers.

I never saw the need to change original factory height, but it might be worth a little experimenting.
Since they don’t pull on the strings as much ( from what I’ve heard ), supposedly you can put them high up.
I’ll take a picture of mine tomorrow and post it here.

The suggested worked for me. I do not trust my wonky ear anyway.

 

Great choice in pup's I think you'll really like them. I adjusted the Hot Golds in my HWY1 to Lace's tip and left them there:
"ADJUSTMENT TIP: For optimum tone and output from our Sensors, we recommend adjusting the height to .170" from string to pickup, or approx. the height of 2 dimes and a nickel. (REMEMBER string thickness applies to height - use bottom of string closest to pickup for measurement.) Music Styles: Vintage Rock, Blues, Country, and R&B, Funk"
