It's the middle of the night and you wake up, what guitar are you reaching for to noodle around with until Sunrise ? I reached for the 2005 Squier Bullet SSS HT.

    Insomniac musician? Present!

First one I can get my hands on.

Thank goodness I have some great headphone options.

My best work, writing comes in the middle of the night. A lot.

It's pain from my arthritis that wakes me up, so I read a book or come here and annoy people until I drop off again.

I can relate to the arthritis part. With me it's the lower back. Sometimes it's the acoustic electric that I'll pick up instead. Option to be unplugged.

Mainly it's my hands, but both knees, ankles, back and shoulder like to join the party too, usually at about 4am. Sometimes I can't even lift a guitar.

Have your neck checked out. I am going thru a surgery/recovery thing right now. Had a lot of the same pain till one morning I woke up in the most horrific stabbing neck/shoulder pain I have ever experienced. It was/is disk degeneration. They fused 4 vertebrate to stabilize the issues. If this is something you might have, you can get it early. Just 2 cents of free advice

I live in a condo so I stop about 11. I've not realized it was 1 AM a few times with no complaints but I try to not do that

Yes a lot of the neck issues were directly related to arthritis. (Runs in my family)
Just a little something for you to consider my friend. I have worked outside for the past 38 years all types of weather and times of day, that is also a factor

You patronising young twerp. I was gently pointing out that my doctor and specialist know better than some random bloke on a forum.

I keep an old Agile P90 Goldtop by the bed, and an even older Cube 30.
