I have an MIJ strat that's been my main, sometimes only, guitar for the past 25 years. It hangs on the wall and calls to me every time I look at it.

I look at my Tele, and as cool as it looks in it black and chrome motif, and as much as I like playing it, it never calls to me. It's content to just chill until I need it. So I named it The Dude, because the The Dude abides.

    It's not a sex toy. It's a neck massager.

True enough. But the cats aren't the heart of the issue.

Ha, a likely story. Since when does Frederick Fenders of Hollywood sell neck massagers? :D

My insomnia really started when I took on a care giver role, I needed to be available at home during the days, so I worked nights. This was before the pre-pandemic employment/work from home movement. Something no employer was ever going to do & still pay enough to call anything of a paycheck for that a hobby. Some folks get that work from home gig, others not so much.

I had to look in the parking lot. One of them went there on the first day here. The other has a low space number.

When i'm up in the middle of the night, Bridget is usually the guitar
that is sitting right next to me when i get downstairs.

That guitar only sees the inside of a case on the rarest of occasions.
The second one would be my .strandberg* Boden OS 7 with EMG 707x pickups.

The OS 7 lives in a gig bag, but that is right at hand also.
It just takes a little bit more effoft to pull it out before i play it.

i'm one who likes to let my gf sleep.
if i woke her up at 4 am because i felt like it should be playtime...
well, all i will say is it wouldn't be the smartest decision i ever made.
But of course, that's us... YMMV.

Oh yeah. I got that especially in my years as a husband coming home at 3:00 AM after a gig. :thumb:
