Remember the International Color Series from 80-early 82?

    Fans, not fans, and why?

Hell yeah I'm a fan, Monaco red and capri orange were my favorites, I had a chance to get a capri orange some years ago but the dude was way out there on price, he thought he had something rare..

I like those colors. Was there a Tropical blue or Caribbean blue or something like that? I recall a blue in that lineup that was real nice.

Very cool versions of the Strat. They were only made in 1981 - but they are often called "1979" because of the S9 serial number (used by Fender from late 1978 through the end of 1981 on the big headstock models).

In 1981 in the city I was living in the Fender dealer changed, and the new Fender dealer wound up getting all the colors of the series in their first order and re-created the ad on a wall in their store.

I'm quite a traditionalist but I've always liked the Capri Orange and Maui Blue versions.
