I think he's right in taking a break. He seemed a little stressed, and he took the forum very seriously. He's very dedicated to learning and I truly respect him for that. He has been helpful here for a long time. However he was showing signs of stress. Once I was just casually talking to him about pickup wirings, and out of nowhere he was replying me really angry stuff. It was the least of my intentions to irritate him. I know he's on the spectrum and I take that in consideration. If this was a source of stress to him, it's better to take a break.

I was not aware of his autism. Explains some things but not everything. My nephew has autism and I have had chances to be around others who deal with it too. There are varying degrees.

So in light of that info, I wish him well and hope a break will be good for him.

This. I never had any issues with him but saw him take things way out of context and get bent way out of shape several times. Its times like that you gotta step away for a bit. In any case, hope the guy is doing ok.

Yes there are varying degrees of functionality. But they all struggle socially as they have trouble picking up on social cues , reading between the lines , navigating the gray areas . It’s mostly Black and white and no in between for them .....

I didn't know he wss on the spectrum.
I can only go by what people write on here, and that pm was pretty vile.

Being on the spectrum, or any other disability for that matter should not be an excuse for treating people badly.

Every single person on this planet has struggles and disadvantages. It's not a license to be a #$%$.

    Exactly.
How often do you hear someone say "He can't take a joke"?
In some cases, "he" didn't realize it was a joke... Sarcasm and implications will often go over their heads, not because they have no sense of humor, but simply because they did not understand the joke.

It's not intentional or personal. They aren't trying to be a jerk.
It's that they simply think differently... in the same way they may not understand sarcasm, they will say things that may be offensive that they did not realize at the time it was said.
Sometimes they will later realize that something was taken the wrong way.

You did read the pm before it was removed?
That wasn't being a jerk. That was hate.

I'll say it again in simple words: You declared loudly that not matter what the underlying conditions or difficulty, that people should behave nicely. Then you immediately start getting angry and ****ty.

DO YOU NOT SEE THE OBVIOUS CONTRADICTIONS IN YOUR ASSERTIONS AND YOUR BEHAVIOR?
