I've had a couple guitars I just could not dial in as far as the string height balance at both ends of the board.

A standard thickness business card shim fixed my problem in both cases.

I looked at Stew Mac for the dimensions of their shims and used a business card to make my own.

I measured the action at the 17th fret with a capo on the first fret. And the measurements differ by a lot specially for the wound strings so I guess the nut needs some work.

I have done a setup of course, multiple setups, I guess the combination of nut and uneven frets is hard to work around

    You might be right.
But unless you adjusted the neck relief (to what I posted earlier) we don’t know. And the capo on the first fret removes nut action from the equation when you’re measuring action.
I’ll be up for a couple hours if you wanna measure it the way I said and make adjustments. But you’ll have to post your real time adjustments/measurements on relief and action.

Are you sure the neck is is sitting tightly flush in the pocket? Do the neck screws pass easily through the body holes and thread only into the neck? If not, things can really get thrown out of kilter.

Thanks a lot for the help, I will make adjustments now and post back my measurements tomorrow as it’s 4:27 here in England. Thanks again

The neck is flush but the screws do thread into the body.
