Looks fake to me. From the headstock. Any time I see those lines, especially on a new guitar, my mind screams "fake". I'd avoid it if I were you. Besides, I wouldnt be meeting people on Craigslist right now. Ha

I also noticed he used a stock photo, which is shady to me.

It comes with case candy though... If you're really interested, Id ask for more pictures. Of the guitar (front and back), case and case candy.

We're under lockdown in CA. Hardly seems like "essential" business. As Chuck said, not the time to be meeting CL people, which can be an iffy proposition in the best of times. And these are not the best of times.

The headstock pic was taken from this site -- which is owned by a guy who lives in Brazil. And the body pic is watermarked "vintage-guitar.de" .....so my money is on that ad being fake.

No way of knowing since the seller isn't showing photos of THEIR actual guitar - more than likely it's probably a lower end model and they're totally lose/confused.....obviously everyone wants their guitar to be expensive....

a '62 wouldn't be a 1 piece maple neck, it would be rosewood fretboard with no skunk stripe.....

It seemed fishy to me cause its 3 tone sunburst and I didnt think that was a thing on 57s.

@Guitarmageddon Yeah, I knew about the maple/rosewood thing but didnt process it til you mentioned it.

Im not in the market. I may flag it if possible. Idk.

'57s were 2TSB, could be a '59. There were 2 versions of the '59 3TSB, one maple with 8 hole eggshell pg the other laminated rosewood with 10 hole mint green pg.
Need to see some pics of the actual guitar though.

I don't think the pictures are even of the same guitar if you look at the string tree placement. The headstock pic looks like a 57' Avri.
