Unfortunately all of my local shops are closed right now, so that’s a no-go. How about the thing he said about the colors not matching the serial? Is that something to be worried about?
YES that's something to worry about BIG TIME! I edited my post - DON'T BUY THE GUITAR....LOOK....the body is changed, go look at my last post - it was originally RED but this sunburst body now has no back plate cover holes drilled - it's a partscaster not worth the price of a factory guitar....
Enter serial numbers here @SonOfLerome - you may have to first go to fender.com and change your region at the bottom of the page to USA to access this.... https://start.fender.com/serial-number
Works for USA and Mexico and some Squier models from about late 90s to present, does NOT work for anything Fender Japan....just an FYI
Just tried another mexican serial and it didn’t work, third party decoder did though. Guitar in question -https://reverb.com/item/36331704-fe...caster-lacquer-2018-sunburst-w-fender-gig-bag
I urge you to NOT use 3rd party sites....they only tell you what year, never if it's a fake serial or anything.... It does come up on Fender's page, did you capitalize the MX? You have to make sure the prefix letter(s) are caps. It's legit and is the $100 higher when new 'LACQUER' nitro version which is closer to a vintage finish and will wear down over time..... It was $800-850 US new.....
You do know it's going to end up costing like $1100 Canadian ish with tax shipping duty etc.....? which was more than a new one here....
Do you need it to be sunburst? Jimmie Vaughan is not much more than that price..... https://www.long-mcquade.com/?page=group&GroupedParentID=26613 My issue is what you've said about yourself - you are 15, and I am worried you will end up with a guitar bought used online from reverb with problems you might not be able to identify, or might not be able to be returned but end up with a guitar that plays badly due to issues....frets, etc... When you buy new, you're backed by Fender and L&M 100%
True.. those are out of stock though. and while I am 15, I have all of you guys on here to help me if something goes wrong.
Not every used guitar can be returned when bought online, and you would have to pay return shipping international and lose money.....you wouldn't get every penny back and lose 200-300 or so even if you returned it (if the seller was even willing to help) and we can't help you when that happens at all.......
Thankfully my parents are very understanding when it comes to music, and they understand stuff can go wrong, so I think I'm covered there... Thanks again.
Sounds like a singer who was in an Australian soap...............’Jason Donovan and Korg Monologue’..............never mind, it amused me.
