Is this the right case for a 2018 AO ‘60s Strat?

The good news is I won that 2018 AO 60s for $1550 including shipping. I’m hoping the case is the right one that originally came with the guitar. The black Tolex on the outside looks how it should, but the storage compartment is in the middle instead of the lower left corner like all the other ones I’ve seen. Has anyone seen the AO ‘60s with a case like this?

I do remember Fender used these center pocket cases for the American Originals when they first came out in 2018 - using black tolex for the 60s models and tweed for the 50s models. They did eventually switch to the side compartment cases but I'm not sure when that happened. So that does look like the right case for an early-run AO 60s model.

I can only speak for the AO 60s Strat neck, but ever since I attached a 2021 Fender American Original 60s Strat neck to a 2012 Fender Custom Shop ‘69 Relic Strat body about a year ago it’s been just about the only guitar I pick up anymore...

I had that exact neck on one of my partscasters. Then ended up with a custom shop 65 strat that has the identical neck shape and specs. I love fat necks but this 65 C shape has just enough shoulder and meat to make it a very comfortable neck.

Fender calls it a "Thick" '60s C-shaped neck.

    Fills my hand just right...

That is pretty much the same interior as the cae that came with my AVRI54. The exterion on mine is tweed.

    yup.

Have an AO 50's tele (rules). My wife laughs at the "crushed velvet" interior.
