With being on the self isolation thing, and my kid having to do the same with no school, I have been up late like old times sending texts back and forth with the kid. That and the Cat Men keeping me mostly sane.

it makes me feel good when a new feral cat comes up and trusts me enough to get within one foot of me. and even lets me pet it.

I have been home so much that Mike the Cat Who Remains Hidden has been out and hanging around. He will normally come out for a few minutes of pets every day but only if I am at my desk. So, with me around a lot I have been petting him extra, got him to play fetch a little and he let me use the grooming glove on him. He's nice but nuts. Probably will go back to hiding soon.

I think that's taking self isolation a bit far.

I like beaches, I like sand and being near (but not in) the ocean.
I could hang out in a place like that.
As long as I have a bit of shade so I'm not in direct sunlight in mid-day, I'm cool with that.
Sandbridge, Outer Banks, Cape Hatteras, Folly Island, Hilton Head, Tybee Island, St Simons are some of my "island time" hangouts.

Now if you had your own island, how would you wipe it off the maps so derelicts like me wouldn't find it?

But wouldn't you miss your main hobby which requires electricity and new strings from time to time?

I did that. It was the mountains though.

The trouble is that people find you. But, you're well equipped to handle that. ;)
