Picked her up a couple days ago.

I will be learning how to take apart and rebuild a guitar.
    She's in rough shape.

    Got her mostly apart.

Nice! Great grab! Looks like what Olic started out as. Except Olic was always black. He also had a standard two point bridge. I carved the body myself for the JT-6.

    That's Awsome @Believer7713 !!

Is there a way to tell a
    JT500 from JT590?

    This Trem I have on " 12 " doesn't have
anything in the oval where some have
    " Jackson " or " Charvel " stamped.

The blank oval is the JT-500. The 590 is the more desirable one but I've had several of the 500s over the years and they hold up well. If you can get your hands on the JT-590 it is a drop in replacement as is an OFR or a Schaller. The 590 was actually made in Germany by Schaller too making it the same as the Schaller branded bridge.

    Thank You!

I am going to try to keep the 500, unless an affordable 590 happens to fall from a tree.

Do you know if a 580LP fit the 500 posts? I can't remember if the 580LP posts are bigger.
My 580LP needs saddles and saddle screws. The parts are very reasonable.

IIRC the 580lp will fit. I had one of those in my first MIJ RR3. I eventually replaced it with a Floyd Rose Pro which required some routing on the trem bar side.

You showed me yours. Here's mine!

I've had mine for a couple of years now and it's not in as rough of shape as yours, but it ain't a beauty queen either.

    @JJ119

That was just when I was putting the hangers up. This is what it actually looks like now.

    Pickups came today.
The plastic bases on the Single Coils is loose and only held by the wires.
There's a few spots that look like there was an adhesive // glue holding them on.

What should I use to reattach them??

    Learning Experience --
    Floyd Rose

Just because a Guitar is an import, IE, NOT MIUSA, that alone just simply doesn't mean your LoPro 1000 or any variant thereof, has Not Made In Germany Saddles. The German made system saddles are sleek and have very subtlety curved fine tuner tails. The NON GERMAN saddles have VERY pronounced sharp angeled tails, and way shorter in length, and completely different string lock body size & shape.

    NOT made in Germany
    LoPro 1000 Series Saddle
    20210927_191005.jpg

    The difference is HUGE!!
As the Notices will ALWAYS say,
the ONLY LoPro 1000 Series saddles that fit the Made In Germany system are the Floyd Rose Made In Germany saddles.
    Any others WILL NOT WORK.
    I SNAFUd my order.
The pics of the non German version are all from the top view, so I didn't see the difference.

I had the mindset that my system was not German because the guitar was
    Made In Japan.

So. DON'T come to the same conclusion that I did.
Also, the price difference is staggering.
The Non German version is around
    $75 + -

The German version is upwards of
    $150.

So, as of now, I will NOT be using the
LoPro in the Resto Mod of 12.
I will be reverting to the Original Trem,
    the JT 500.

    SIGH
