ive got a new guitar. thought a jam might be a nice way to break it in...
of course, i've been away and i've just learned that the challenge and jam series have been fairly defunct as of late...
c'est la vie
in any case, i did this, my first playing on the new thing - sort of a one and done kind of approach - winging it, in other words.
Great to see you back Monte!
Imagine, if you will, a quiet beach, dusk approaching and a couple of drinks inside you...
You find a swing to sit and contemplate life and all it's quirks and pleasures....
I returned back from vacations couple of days ago, havent seen a guitar 3 weeks, my fingertips are soft and I cant play
Thanks Monte for this nice track!
sensitive and introspective... that subtle slack key thing going on in the back is very nice. and i envy your smooth touch.
nice right out of the gate. great tone - fits the 80s R&B vibe like a glove. you always say you can't play! LO frikkin L! - i love your playing
The name is a sailing reference based on today's activities, not a musical cover.
Thanks for resurrecting this! And yourself!
I was also in need of resurrection. The miraculous is starting to become mundane...
that's some very nice playing Sam. psychedelic soul. jerry garcia sits in with peabo bryson. beautiful.
Great initiative Monte. It's been ages since I did one of these. Clams and all!
nice theme! you seem so much more relaxed and loose these days... its awesome...
I'm late but I made it
@montemerrick Sweet and laid back with a great tone. You sounded a bit tense first 30 seconds then the music just started flowing.
@s5tuart great tone! Those sound like melancholical contemplations. I like how it feels like you're drifting in and out, catching the ride as it happens.
@Raimonds Great as usual! You have your usual way of mixing slow passage with fast flurries, I really like that. It's melodic and sweet withva great tone.
@knh555 In your hands this turned into something breezy and almost joyful. Great job on the backikg parts too, they really fit.
@Relaxing at Cam There's a bit of a dark mood to your take and it's not just in the tone. It's all complemented by your restrain. I like it a lot!
@alainvey As usual it sounds effortless and relaxed. Sometimes I get associations to something completely different when I hear music. You brought on Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
