@Mellencaster - Interesting tone, almost a sitar tone in places. Cool!
Sounds good @Mouse, really good
For some reason, I kept waiting for you to kick in the overdrive. You kept it clean and cool though.
I really like the melody you laid out right at the start. And it just kept getting better. Beautiful take.
Nice photo at the beginning too. It's been too long since I've been there.
Very nice. To me, this has almost a country take with a bit of extra tremolo dialed into the amp. The playing, phrasing, and tone blend wonderfully into the backing track for a sensitive take.
I'd also like to thank everyone who's made their take downloadable. I'm very happy to have the opportunity to pull these fine collaborations into a playlist.
@Mellencaster – Your title made me laugh, and your playing kept a smile on my face. If you own a pedal with a control marked 'Loveliness', you obviously keep it turned up a long way. Your take definitely tells a story, using the minor and major sections to imply regrets and fond memories by turn.
@Mouse – That is a super-tasteful addition to this lovely track. I especially like the way you mirror your note values over successive phrases, giving a more lyrical and cohesive feel – as if there were words to this song. I'll try to apply that more in future.
What a thoroughly nice man you are.
In the interest of getting a jump on the week, I've taken the liberty to post the AC/DC track here:
I put my take and @s5tuart's take on top of each other and this is what pops out the other end:
That is really quite something.
What amazes me is that we didn't coordinate our takes.
Maybe we should?
