    Can anyone translate this please?
It's on a guitar I've just bought for fun.
I think I want to know what it says...I hope it's nothing rude/odd/insulting!

I gave it a shot – but I still couldn't tell you what it says!! I screenshot-ed the decal, then cleaned it up in Photoshop:

    Screenshot 2021-06-14 at 21.06.44.png

    Screenshot 2021-06-14 at 21.06.44 copy.png

Then I ran that through an OCR tool, like this one: https://www.i2ocr.com/free-online-japanese-ocr#

    Screenshot 2021-06-14 at 21.15.24.png

Now... the problem is – it only picked up a couple of the characters, namely: 級ギター

WHICH – when you run it through Google Translate, gives you...

    'Class Guitar'

    – so... I really don't know!!

It could be 'first class' maybe... or... 'top class' maybe – who knows!? The OCR tool could be incorrect too, but... that *might* give a *bit* of an indication as to what it says :thumb: !

No, not that. More likely: "Please suck my diddies".

I couldn't possibly say – but a quick Google of 'First Act' guitars does show similarities... the headstocks that come up are a remarkably similar shape – so it could very well be that :thumb: ...

I’m gonna step in. I’m not a native speaker, but I know a decent amount of Japanese.

It says “Highest-class guitar”, but really just means “the best guitar”. The pronunciation is “saikoukyuu gitah”. Not sure if it’s a brand name, but I’m more inclined to think it’s just a description of the product.
