jazz pickup replacement for Epiphone Dot???

    Here is my Squire Strat with Bootstrap Vintage 54 single coils getting a respectable jazzy tone on the neck pickup. Not my best playing but you get the idea. Playing through a Vox AC 10 which is no jazz amp.

    I also play an Epiphone Dot and put in OX4 A4 magnets low wind PAF.s and I get a solid jazz tone.

    Those Bootstrap Vintage 54’s are one of my favorite sets of pickups (at any price). That’s a great tone you recorded. It’s got that unmistakable Strat thing which is just the scale length and pickup placement but the tone is what I’d call very rounded and smooth without being muddy. Really nice stuff.
