I’m currently reading the Jimmy Page Definitive Biography 2019 book and the detail on his session work is astounding. What a huge body of work. Very informative book.:)

Many aren't aware of his pre-session work.

He had "noteworthy" and successful career before the Yardbirds and Zep.

    - What is it like working with some of the really big names of show business?
    - Disappointing. :)

Great post. I wasn't aware that he was a session player as well. Amazing.

    Lord he looked young.
Sort of depressing when he says he's been playing "four years." One Jimmy Year apparently equals about 12 Mitch Years. Or more.

I get sad when people criticize his playing in LZ and have no clue as to what he’s about and only know him for that. The man has many talents and a hell of a history with British music in the 60’s.

If I could pick any living person to spend a day chatting with it would be him.

It is often difficult to explain the impact LZ1 and Jimmy's playing had back then. An incredible guitarist and an incredible band. Played those songs to death, slowing the speed on the record player to try to work out what he was playing. He, and others had a profound effect on me back then, still trying to emulate those players today.
