I'm not an entertainer. I play for my own pleasure, as previously noted.

I can see why, and I haven't even heard you play.

I never got the hang of guitars on my thigh playing. It’s obvious I’ve tried. I own bc an LP.
It’s crazy, my Heritage 555 ES 355 Clone is lighter.

Kinda reminds me of Bruce Wlillis’s character in The Sixth Sense.

And when, asked if he had any advice for guitarists today(August '71), Duane Allman said:

"I’d tell him to remember that you can’t never play just like anyone else so you ought not to try. You gotta utilize what’s inside you to create what you want to create. You gotta sort yourself out and sort the music you hear out. Then find something to hang your notes on. You hang your notes on your attitude and on yourself. If it don’t come out pure, it don’t come out good. I never took no lessons, but I got that attitude."

And it applies as much today as it ever has.

“I can dig something out of the vault and you’re like, ‘Holy ****, here’s a real Bluesbreaker combo, here’s a real ’59 Les Paul,’“ he said. “But, blindfolded, you’re gonna go, ‘It sounds like Joe wanking away again’. Unfortunately, as I get older, nothing moves the needle. Nothing.“

Keep on wanking Joe. It's what you do best.

Oh, so you recongnized old joe chicken pickin because it sounds just like him playing which song(s)?
    Bull****.
If the guitar doesn't matter, why did he choose a tele for chicken pickin? Hmm maybe it does matter to hypocritical, soft bragger joe b.

I'm having to re learn my Telecaster. I'm playing it Keith Richards style.
5 strings & open G. That definitely affects the tone more than anything

See, you're missing the point again. It's not about the tone or the sound, it's about the character and style of the player coming through no matter what gear they are using.

Brad Paisley will still sound like himself if he chicken picks on his telecaster or borrows a les paul. The sound would be more authentic on the telecaster though.

Jimmy Page recorded the 'stairway to heaven' solo on a telecaster but plays it live on a Gibson double neck. It still sounds like him.

David Gilmour used a p90 loaded les paul for 'comfortably numb' but plays it live on a strat. Does it sound like a different player? No.

no man, you're the one missing the point, entirely.
Anyone will sound like themself playing in the box they play in. I have already agreed to that. I won't ask you guys to look outside of your closed-boxes anymore. If it doesn't matter to you what guitar you're playing (you still sound like yourself) that's great for you. I don't feel the same about my playing because I approach different guitars and different types of music differently. I don't understand why you'd disagree with me about my own opinions of my own sound. You've been encouraged to find your own sound, and stick with it. Limit yourself to, y'know, the way your audience expects you to sound.
I won't stop trying to develop new skills, or trying new styles (have you ever tried Bossa Nova? Seriously? did you sound like you? gimme a break.)
Enjoy your fenced in views, fellas.
