I have joined this only to tell everyone that Fogerty’s baseball bat guitar was made by my dear late friend Philip Kubicki.
Phil worked for Fender early in his life but this guitar was his unique creation.
He even had the Louisville slugger stamp shipped and he used it to stamp the guitar. Since he had it on loan we stamped a few other things including my towel rack.
For the many of you who obviously love the art of guitar making please look up Phil, he had a factory in Santa Barbara for many years.

I am SO glad I read this thread. What a great story!

CCR and Abbey Road were the only music my wife and I had when we were dating in the early 70s.

    Great music.

Hi Sara - Thanks for sharing this.

Phil made a Factor bass for me around 1990. I had a couple of phone conversations with Phil during the process. I remember to this day how warm and friendly he was. Phil signed the bass before shipping it to me. Phil was a wonderful person no doubt! I was very sorry when I heard of his passing.

I recently sold the bass to this guy, who is a famous country music star in Sweden. Hassee Andersson. He emailed me a pic after receiving it.
