Last Sunday, I went to Glendale Harley-Davidson to buy a 2019 black Softail Deluxe. The hard part is waiting for the parts and additions to be finished.

    Beautiful ride. Congrats!

My first Harley was a 2007 Softail Deluxe. I moved to a Road King for long trips about seven months later, but still miss the Softail.

Very nice, long time rider here too, motorcycles since 67, first Harley in 85.
Nice weather and spare time finally coincided, and the wife and I took a nice ride yesterday after work.
    Congrats!

ved my bike, only a Honda but it was fun. Sadly, UK roads, especially around these parts, are no place for a biker these days. I’ve got to like being alive! That is a beautiful machine, congrats, enjoy safely.

looks good, what work are you awaiting? I am on my 4th Harley, did the sportster first, miss it a lot. Went to a Road king classic, and was not a fan. Now I ride a CVO Screaming Eagle Deuce and love it. Couple years ago got another sporty, but just not the same as my first.

Those are lookers that is for sure!

My first was a 1974 Superglide. Since that time I’ve always had one. Currently:

Thats a beauty! Don't see many Harleys here in Ireland but they are real show stoppers when we do! The noise is gorgeous! We get mostly Japanese sports type bikes here. Not half as nice in my opinion.

BEAUTIFUL Bike! Best wishes with it! GET OUT THERE IN THE WIND!

My wife and I used to ride quite a bit. Loved it for over 25 years but a condition my wife has prevents her from being on a bike for too long a period of time and in 2009 we sold our bike and sadly have not had one since. The group we rode with would regularly do 300-400 mile days and for me there was nothing better.

Most I ever rode was 735 miles in one day. I was AT my limit and I've always marveled at the 'iron butt' riders who, in order to get the 'status', ride 1000 miles in a 24 hour period. My largest bike was a Honda Valkyrie, equipped as shown below...

NOT my bike but a carbon copy...LOL.

    ENJOY your new ride Bro!

    Good lookin' scooter!
Watch out for those morons with 4 wheels and a cell phone.
I got hit by a pickup truck and lived to tell about it, but will never be the same.

Harley's to me are like Telecasters - I just never really liked them. Forced myself to try, about 17 years ago I got serious and had an electra glide ultra-classic tourer for a few weeks.
scraped the treadboards down to the grip rubber in the first hour. It simply proved to me that where and how I ride, the bikes weren't suitable for me. I don't do highways, so I just never had a great experience on them.

In the end, I kept true to my italian loyalty, and another ducati replaced the 'glide.

Nothing wrong with them, They have a very specific rider/owner niche, and on this island, they do polarize people - usually rather negatively. By that I mean moreso than motorcyclists in general (public enemy #1)

My uncle has had 13 of them. So I've had plenty of opportunity to ride pans shovels dynas road kings, electraglides fat boys v-rods... but I always gravitated towards the italian twins and triples, but I like my inline fours to be japanese and not MV's.

I do hope you enjoy a trouble-free ownership. It's a great looking unit. Many happy miles ahead!
