Lacquer damage: Any solution?

    Did you just put the color on without sanding down the red?

    I filled the damage with auto filler, then sanded sown the rest of the original surface with 360 grit wet and dry paper. then two coats of grey primer followed with two coats of final color duplicolor rattlecan paint.

    Yep. Use the same background, lighting at the same time for one.

    White balance wreaks havoc on images. There is a fix...

    The only reliable solution is to shoot in a raw format with a sample of pure white in the image.

    Use editing software that can register the white sample and apply the lighting "formula" to successive images. Works quite well.

    Just relying on the camera to sort it all out will never work.
