Saw the Stones last night at US Bank Stadium in Mpls. Good show, I thought. The reviewer in my local fish-wrapper thought it was mediocre. They were tight, for the most part. Keef missed a few chords in one song but other that that it was solid. My bestie and fellow Stones rube and I were pleasantly surprised that they played Monkey Man, a fave of mine and a song I thought they'd never play live in front of me. But they did and I am grateful. They also played Fool to Cry which delighted me. One more song from the vault: "Connection" from Between the Buttons was sung by Richards, another surprise! Of course Keef played his Butterscotch Teles but he gave his LP Jr.s a lot of love too.
    Ears still ringing this morning:)

This site link is always a good one to check setlists before a show. If you have kids you want to burn a disk for them or a spouse so they are familiar with the music it works great.

Looks like "Monkey Man" was "by request" so you got lucky.

You can also see variations from one ight to the next or if it is a set list for the tour.

I see the Stones mixed it up a little. I found that Robert Cray's setlist is completely different each night. It's like he says, lets do """ and they just jam it.

Actually I DON'T know the answer, because of this quote from Keith:

Someone noticed that the Stones aren’t playing the song on their current tour, seemingly for the first time ever, which led to a New York Post headline saying that “Rolling Stones retire classic rock song ‘Brown Sugar.’” In the body of the story, Keith Richards is less absolute, saying, “We might put it back in.”

Lisa Fischer used to kill on the backup vocals for Monkey Man. But she hasn't been around for a few years AFAIK. Did they have someone else doing that or did Mick do it all?

EDIT: Did the announcer do the classic "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones"? Inquiring minds want to know.

Well they’ll have to fill the brown sugar spot on the set list with something. Maybe the bu request thing will stick

Honestly I can’t remember what the announcer said ‍♂️ I know Lisa used to sing in the spotlight on Gimme Shelter but she wasn’t with them last night.

What they played at the Rose Bowl in ‘19. I would have greatly preferred Monkey Man, for sure. But this is SoCal and Rainbow was in heavy rotation in TV ads here at the time.

I wish they would have done an acoustic set here. I love Sweet Virginia.

Steve Jordan was good friends with Charlie Watts. There as a long interview with Steve that I read recently. I'll see if I can find it. They spent some time together over the years.
