I wasn't able to check out several of these youtubes-'blocked by Youtube'-but when I heard 'Foot Foot' I heard enough....I had heard the name 'Shaggs' but this was the first listen.
There was a dude on the Home Recording website that would brag that he was releasing a platinum selling album practically every week. It was horrible stuff and the background noise basically overwhelmed the music-that was probably the best part of his recordings...

Anyway, it turned out he was constantly doing psychedelic drugs and his brain was toasted-but he still would crank out the crap every week......

What was that line in "Spinal tap"....something about a fine line between clever and stupid? Seems to be applicable here. Now excuse me while I call a psychiatrist to see if therapy will get "Hoogie-Boogie Land" out of my head!!

Imagine...being there when the bassists says..Ive come up with this riff. The drummer just chugs along..then the guitarist jumps in and finally the vocalist.1 month later they`ve got it down 100%. Polished ..as tight as a crabs A*** at 50 fathoms.Lyrics and all.Worse..what about the poor neighbour having to listen to this band rehearsing in the garage, to get it right.Whilst the drummer asks if he can put a fill in here...and suggests maybe they need some backing singers too...

Apparently it is still very challenging to people's conception of what popular music should sound like. ;)

Notice what the appropriately named Shaggs, the Hoogie Boogie Land guys and Stump all have in common is a disturbingly horrible rhythm section (whether arty-deliberate or just incompetent).

As a composer friend of mine once said: you can throw tonality out the window and people can handle it, but once you destroy rhythm you alienate everybody.
