Well, i made it to my home town.
Stopped by an old brothers house to give him my copy of "i am the night"..... Dime gave that to me in 1986.
But he will cherish it where i do not.
We drank some of the bore cleaner i made yesterday.
    Good stuff.

My son is starting a new assignment as a drill sargeant at Sill. I might move there soon to be with him and help with grand babies hopefully. I honestly am a little worried about some of the element there, but I have the same element where I live now.

Been there a thousand times, but I think the town has gone downhill since I used to go eat at Furr's there in the 80s.

Lawton not near the same as it was in the '70s and early-to-mid '80s. And it wasn't that great of a place then. It is a unique military town for Oklahoma. Most everything else is either a munitions plant, or associated with Air Force in the state.

We left Lawton in '96, after living there about 10 years. Did software development for the field artillery systems at Ft. Sill.

Loads of memories ... good and bad. Had our garage band during that time ... those were some of the good memories.

I grew up in Claremore, OK so I know what you mean. When I turned 18 I ran as far and fast as I could. If I'd gone another half mile I'd have actually been "in" the Pacific Ocean.
