I enjoyed that. Nice playing & an interesting tone too. It's not easy to make a Strat sound as fat as that. Nice one.

Great sound and nice playing! (But I bet I'm not the only person on this forum who thinks of something different when I hear "Lazy blues"...)

    Thanks for the reply. Shucks!

Okay, I'll settle for what amp do you use, and what am and Fender tone settings? I use a Vox AC15, no pedal, no effects. Would appreciate it.

For this video I used my Bogner Barcelona amp, pretty much flat setting, with the boost mode ON, (it is a VERY clean 40W amp, with heaps of headroom)
The guitar is a Fender MVP 60's , using the Bridge pickup, Tone & Volume fully open.
Using Zendrive for light overdrive, Catalinbread Belle Epoch tape delay, just a little. Lastly, Reverb comes from Strymon FLINT

    Thanks for that reply.

By fully open Tone & Volume, do you mean fully turned down towards 0 or fully turned up towards 10?

Never heard of that Zendrive, or Catalinbread, or Strymon. I reckon I need to look them up.

    Fully open = @10
These pedals are industry standard when it comes to professional gear.

Can you kindly explain what the Zendrive, the Belle Epoch do, in the piece you have just played, because I did not hear an overdrive as much as what I saw in a YT Zendrive demo? Your playing was so clean. And would the reverb on my Vox amp suffice?

What a great find. Never heard of the guy, but he floored me. Great riff. Would love to locate the tabs and chords for it.

Louisiana Native Leslie Johnson is to many of we blues aficionados a diamond in the rough...as real a deal as possible. Good stuff! Dig it while you can!

Lester is wonderful. No need to have the chords written down - I'm sure Lester didn't! It's a standard blues 3 chord progression, easy enough to follow. Same sort of guitar rhythm you would hear on a Jimmie Reed song - the sort of thing I picked up from standing in front of Jimmie Vaughan with the T-Birds.

    Hi Rick ,
I use the Zendrive on a very clean, loads of headroom 40W amp, I set it to get get a light singing drive as you hear in the clip, and I can always get more drive by attacking the strings harder with my pick.

The Belle Epoch is a Tape delay pedal, which I use to get a nice tail and puffiness to the lead sound.

I believe the reverb on your amp will work fine.

    best,
    Asa
