I was 16 when I started defiling myself with booze, weed, and rocknroll. By the time I actually got to the concert I was broke, dazed, and confused! Never could afford a Tshirt. I wanted “30 Days In The Hole” :D

The warmup act switched to Fog Hat after Steve Marriott burned up in the house fire.

Fog Hat was really pretty good but I want Little Stevie Marriott back please! :(

The Who - Live at Leeds (better version of Young Man Blues than Isle of White performance
The Grateful Dead - anything from the early 80s (ie. Touch of Grey before it was a hit)
Hendrix - Band of Gypsies album has legendary live recordings
Led Zeppelin - BBC sessions (was this live album live as in live with an audience?)
    Santana - Woodstock performance

The world is a much poorer place without Joe Pass.

For sure that was a legendary performance. Everybody who saw it knew it, then and now.

Dire Straits and Knopfler in particular was the single reason I quit my piano lessons and started playing guitar.

Probably one of the greatest rock musicians/songwriters who ever lived. Brothers in arms still gives me goosebumps after 30+ years.

On another vibe, this performance is also worthy of special attention, albeit not legendary. The way they sing in perfect harmony is amazing. A truly special moment in time. Rawlings is so underrated. He is playing with eyes closed pretty much all the time, totally taken by the music, and Gillian is focused on him, as if trying to follow him, even though she's the 'leader'.

Can’t go wrong with Johnny Winter. Ive seen him 3 times live and man what a show! The Robert Belfour is that cats meow and what blues is all about.

No flaming on your opinion on the other players everyone is entitled to an opinion. I’m not a fan of JB or DT both Great players. Not a fan of JM either. Once again a great player just not my thing.

I’m kinda stuck in Old time blues the rawer the better.(other than SRV and Rory Gallagher) Surprised no has mentioned R.L. Burnside, T-Model Ford or Junior Kimbrough. If someone did i missed it.

OP you're not going to get any love for Joe B. around here. Too many old heads that can't make room for anyone born in the last 50 years. There are those of us that think Hendrix, Page, Blackmore etc. are overblown and I personally can't stand any of the old Delta Blues music so that's lost on me. But everyone has their opinions and they're all valid. Variety is the spice of life as they say and if everyone agreed with my opinions the world would be a boring place.

Debut of this song and Wendy and the recording that made it to the album though edited down and some overdubs added.

I really love live albums. I figure many of them have studio overlays, but as long as they keep the live vibe, I really don't care. I just love live albums!
