Hi. It's my first time looking into pre-owned guitars and I'm fairly new to Strats as well, so I would really appreciate any help I can get.

I found a used Custom Shop "Wildwood 10" Strat (around 3.5k USD), but since I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to these things, I wanted to make sure it was the real deal.

The serial # is R27612 and it shows up as a "LTD. DEALER SELECT 65 STRAT F-LBP" on Fender's website when I try registering it.

It comes with a COA too, but I have no idea how easy these are to reproduce.

According to the seller, he bought it in 2015 but apparently, the guitar was made in 2008.

I took a lot of pictures, so I hope this helps any sharp-eyed people out there verify its authenticity.

    Thanks!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I e-mailed Wildwood and they got back to me saying the guitar isn't showing up in their inventory list, but could possibly be in their older one. Someone else is checking on it, but I've yet to receive any updates on it since I e-mailed them.

I don't see any red flags from the pictures you posted.
The price seems pretty high to me however. But I also live in the states where guitars are cheaper than some countries

This is a legit Wildwood 10's Dealer Select '65 Strat in Lake Placid Blue

The price is VERY VERY high and not worth it IMHO

If the guitar is a 2008 the one COA has been replaced by fender.
Fender does not back date replacement COAs

Some good news and bad news then. Haha! Thank you, though. I'm hoping I could still get a lower price on it. What would be a fair price, in your opinion?

That was the first thing I checked too. Was wondering if the "LBP" was a typo since it's "Lake Placid Blue and not "Lake Blue Placid"? Unless that's just how they code it. What price would be fair in your opinion?

Good to know it could very well be legitimate from Fender.

I got some haggling to do.

This is what im talking about. Guitar prices in our country is quite high compared to others. I've seen one on FB marketplace bro Fender CS 63 olympic white. Maybe you can haggle the price down to 2500USD

Then again, converting my currency to USD, American Original Strats retail for around 2,640 USD over here. American Professionals for around 1,930 USD. And stuff like the Eric Clapton Blackie Signature Custom Shop for 5,675 USD.

It really does. Those are prices from official retailers too. Not sure if that means the Wildwood is a pretty fair deal given how much Custom Shop guitars can go here. I think I can haggle it down to 3000.
