Got bored with balancing the Blues Jnr on a pile of old beer crates in the rehearsal rooms, and whatever came to hand on stage - so i bought some Fender legs, some chrome corners, and some sphinx glide feets.

    Most happy.

Word of warning - the instructions on the BillM page about location of the pivot bolt is not correct - the chassis on the BJ IV is not the same as earlier versions, I think, so when i initially re-assembled the chassis interfered with the nuts on the inside. My fault for assuming... so, some careful drilling and sinking of nuts into the sides of the cab fixed it. Works well, I just need to get used to EQ-ing it differently, as the tone is different when it's pointing at my ears (or my arse, depending where i'm stood) . Planning a custom cabinet for it soon, so will incorporate these into that when i get around to it... jnr 22.jpg jnr.jpg

Looks good - how is it adjusting those knobs when she’s tilted back?

not too bad, needs a bit more of a lean, but at least on the BJ IV the writing faces forwards, unlike earlier ones.

Nice !! Always loved using the legs on my old SR.
When I use my amp stand live, there's a fine line between having it too much at my head and not enough at the audience vs. full-on for audience, but not enough for me. I usually end up with it pointing at about my chest, which is still a ton better than having it flat towards the audience. But like a lot of things, no one wins everything in a compromise. I gain sound, but audience loses some. Hopefully the improvement in my playing by letting me hear myself will more than compensate for the less-than-optimum levels going straight to the audience.

Not as good looking as yours, but I just use an amp stand and it gets it off the floor too. Angle is adjustable. Have a larger one for my Blues D'Ville. Rest are all Heads and Cabinets, so I just deal with them the way they are.

i liked the idea of an amp stand, until the other guitar player in the band bought one, and it was yet another large bit of metal, with knobs and sticky-out bits and adjustments, and got in a terrible mess with his mic stand and guitar stands, and cables, and all the other malarkey that being in a band means. so i tried to simplify it... and this was the best option - and they were a decent price too, i think they were about $50 US, which given they're pretty well made and solid, is ok.

Fantastic! Mine sits on an old oak children's table from the fifties. Wouldn't that be great at a gig? Now I'm gonna have to put legs on mine.
