There’s actually a few companies that I’ve seen offering flat pole Strat pickups. I have a custom shop set called ancho poblano with a flat pole bridge pickup. It actually sounds incredible and let’s you set the pickup higher, little more output.

The OP’s poles have definitely been pushed down though. If they still work then it’s probably not a issue.

Original broadcaster/nocaster/Tele pickups are flat poles. I use lollars in another strat that are flat poled.

I didn’t push the pole pieces in and they work fine and sound great.

I've pushed them a few times. Thankfully, there was no damage. Wouldn't do it again, though. :)

Yes I was going to say that, with a flat pole pickup you get that tele twang. I really like it actually.

Also I didn’t you pushed them down but they are definitely not like that from factory. You also said you bang on the beast so maybe you unintentionally pushed them down. Either way you’d know for sure if they didn’t work.

How do you find the playability against your other guitars?

Plays nicely. I have about 10 guitars with various fret sizes and neck radiuses. So I'm used to jumping around on them. I actually had it refretted a few years ago and did the frets in modern 6105 dunlop style size. I tend to have my Strat and other guitars a little higher action for playing lead guitar so I can get my fingers under the strings to bend better.

Mine is a bit stiffer than my other Fenders. I was curious if you found the same on your end.
