So it will cure your clap or get you some.
John's bigger, but I think Robin would be scrappier.
Who do you think would win in a fight?
Still sounds fresh, don’t it! It does my heart good to see guys your age appreciate the trailblazers of rock!
Stopped into Goodwill tonight and found a nice copy of this for $1
Looking forward to spinning it over the weekend - it’s supposed to be great!
Trower any day of the week, and his signature model is awesome.
y, dude. Been listening to Trower for 40 years or so. If you're into blues/rock/and a little psycho, Listen to him. He's freaking fantastic. Don't pay any attention to the guy's who says this or that crap about him, in regards to Hendrix. Robin had a great admiration for Jimi, but never tried to emulate him. In fact, he almost quit R&R because everyone else was trying to compare him to Hendrix. Might not believe this, and I could get my head beat around, but I don't think Hendrix could hold a candle up to Trower. Let the beating begin...
Had 45 minutes between meetings and popped on the “Live” LP. Great performances by all. Album closes with a good version of “Little Bit of Sympathy”.
He closed his show with that when I saw him in 2018. Good song to finish with. The live version of “Daydream” on there is great as well
I opened for him way back in 97’ but I’ve been a fan since 74’. I was able to get his autograph…
35 posts on the home page. Not one of em about the PRS. I think the wave has passed off now. Let that be the end of it.
With guitar, Jimi is like Jesus. Like....there was before Jimi, then after. Same with Bob Dylan and songwriting, Flea and bass, or Joni Mitchell and being a total wingebag.
Wow!! That is just awesome!
From my observation, when I saw him in 2018, he seemed to be genuinely enjoying himself onstage. Smiling frequently, whenever someone in the crowd would hoot, or holler.
As @Deathray noted, awesome. Great story. He's an amazing guitarist.
He has a video on youtube where he does a rig rundown. Covers "How to get my Bridge of Sighs" sound too. Tweaks a his small collection of pedals, bang, there it is.
Seemed like a really personable guy. Doing his own rundown because he wanted to. No diva there, just a nice guy communicating.
Blackmore, Roth, Trower…whose my favorite? Whichever one is playing. Sure miss Jimmy Dewars though, that guys voice was perfection, by far my favorite blues rock singer and a HUGE part of the Trower sound on the magical early albums.
The Jack Bruce stuff is great too!
James Dewars was awesome. Sad story to his later life. The man had a voice.
My favorite Trower album! I generally do like live albums over studio versions if they're done well. I listen to the Robin Trower "Live" CD more than more than my other Trower stuff.
I’ll take Trower over Hendrix anytime.
