Which one do you prefer, me I like the larger one.

The little one one makes the neck look fat or maybe it’s me. ?

Like em both but prefer the CBS style without bullet truss rod.

The CBS large headstock was an abomination.

    That is all.

I like the large one. Maybe I'm compensating....

I like headstocks that do their job.
Especially ones that hold the strings in a straight line from the bridge, across the nut, and to the machines.
Especially ones that aren't tilted back at an angle that makes them susceptible to breakage.
They need to be unpainted if the board is maple. They can be painted or unpainted if the board is rosewood, ebony, pau ferro (etc.)

Large but I prefer the mid.sixties versions with the transitional logos and maple capped necks...

    Who knows?
To me the number one look is the pre-cbs with the spagetti logo and number two is the large headstock with the "Jimi Hendrix logo". Everything else share the bronze medal.

This thread should be a poll! There might be one already...
But my vote goes for the small headstock.

And ole Leo designed it, as well as designing the "CBS" logo, and the "TV" logo, and the 3 bolt neck and micro tilt. He didn't just sell Fender and leave, he stayed on until 1970 designing stuff.

But I do see what garyhoos1 is saying, the size of the headstock does make the neck look either fat or thin.

I like the original Jazzmaster headstock, it's not quite shaped like the Strat, but it's sort of in between the pre CBS strat and CBS headstocks, it's the best of both worlds:

Small is my choice. I used to hate the large ones... I'm over that now, they don't bother me. Small is still my preference but I wouldn't turn away a fatty.
