Little Walter amps, anyone know anything?

So in a whirlwind of furious phone activity this afternoon I not only read for the first time about little Walter amps, I have bought one… sort of.

Does anyone on here know of them or have one or ever tried one? There’s very little I can find online really (they don’t appear to have really made it to the U.K.)

I’ve bought the 22w amp out of a 50/22 twin, I’d love to hear any experiences anyones got with them. The small amount I’ve read seems very positive

Cheers!

I thought this was going to be about the amps Little Walter played. I had no idea there were amps called Little Walter. I hope his estate is involved in some way.
I thought exactly the same, and apparently they are in no way affiliated

No worries, how do you like it?
I literally bought it this afternoon off eBay, will hopefully know early next week.

I just read that apparently the builder Phil’s nickname is also little Walter, hence the confusion.

I feel that if one wants to make an expensive boutique amplifier making company, sharing names with one of the most famous harmonica players ever might not have been a fantastic move. Not only because of the assumed affiliation but if you google little Walter amps you get an awful lot of information about the musicians amps and not a huge amount about the amp builders amps.

I paid very very very little for mine though so I don’t mind, unless it sucks

My nickname is Jimi Hendrix, I'm thinking about making some guitars... lol.
Kidding.

I agree with you on him using the Little Walter name not being a fantastic move, if he gets too big he might have some problems.

Report back when you get the amp. They look like cool amps

If you paid Triple-Very Little for a boutique amp that sells for around $2500 with 1x12 cabinet and just the head around 2k...are you sure you didn't buy just the amp cover on Ebay............

Lol... well, he did say "I have bought one… sort of"
So the 50/22 twin head that they make, I’ve bought the 22w amplifier out of one.
The dude I bought it off converted his into a 50/50 and stuck the 22w part in storage, and subsequently sold it to me. so I haven’t bought an entire little Walter amp really but what I’ve bought if any good will be great to make a combo cab for.

Awesome amps, played the 22 watt before and it rocked. Robben Ford and EJ both own a Little Walter. I got no problem with the name, in fact I knew of the amps before I heard of little Walter the person.

It showed up yesterday and I had a band rehearsal last night, the bright input wasn’t working I think its got a valve down or not seated properly but it sounds incredible. I’ve never played an amp like it, a lot more time needed and wanted with it but I’ve got to say I’m well pleased with it so far.

Just need to work out why the first input isn’t working

...and you haven't posted pics here yet?!!! :D
Not the prettiest cab yet, I need to make a front panel but it’s in and it kind of works, other than the bright input (1)…
swapping the 6V6 valves round did nothing and that’s my knowledge exhausted so il be appealing to clever amp people on here shortly
