Example- my favorite changes are Nirvana: from the muddy banks versions of " spank thru " and " polly ". But i do like the never mind version of polly, also. Spank thru just sounds far better on the live album rather than incesticide version. Anyone else have songs like this they care to share?

My first thought too but it has to be the comes alive version. It feels weird listing to his other live performances. Great way to kill some time! :)

Most of the early Who recordings are FUBR so anything live is bound to be better.

A lot of the Woodstock songs like Soul Sacrifice, Won't You Try, and A Little Help From My Friends. I heard them that way first so I prefer them and they are just plain awesome. Nothing like the smell of hash and cow manure to put musicians on the top of their game.

I think "Milk It" sounds fantastic on that live album. Btw, Spank Thru is from the Sub Pop 200 compilation. Either way, it does sound better live.

I might be strange, but I have always liked live versions of songs better than their studio counterparts. One great example for me is Live After Death from Iron Maiden.

Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney and Wings. The guitar solo is much more fluid in the live version.

Cheap Trick are a band that turns into a total rock n roll animal live. Their studios albums don't always reflect their ability to bring the goods.

The whole of 'it's Alive' by the Ramones is better than any of their studio output

I picked up a new copy of their 1st album a few years ago, and it had an entire live show as bonus material. I liked that a lot.

Everything on Go For What You Know by Pat Travers, especially the song Boom Boom Out Go the Lights. The LIVE version is the hit, the studio version is pretty weak.

Great record. Duel guitars of Travers and Thrall, Mars Cowling giving a clinic on bass and of course Tommy Aldridge drumming. For a brief second, just about the hottest rock band in the world. Not exaggerating.

Just a great live album to begin with but I prefer the songs from the Powerslave album on LAD. Not as thrilled with the production on Powerslave compared with their other albums.

If you mean live album, i say "several"
If you mean me being there, everything.
