And people talk about Gibson pricing!
Since the start of the thing that we don’t talk about, Fender has now raised prices 3 times. Gibson only once. Glad I bought my American Original Tele before they changed the name of the series, and raised the price:rolleyes:

Fender has now lost my business as a customer.
    —————————-
With their 3 price increases despite record profits for them the past 2 years
They also dropped a lot of colors without adding much new, it appears?

By now news of another Fender price increase is about as astonishing as telling me the telephone has been invented. Pretty soon they'll monthly.

These price increases are well thought out and planned long before implemented.

Bottom line, they wouldn’t do it if they thought people would stop buying.

Life will continue to go on.

Record inflation doesn’t mean things are more valuable… it means your money is less valuable.

Fender knows well they will lose a few customers so when they increase prices it is not a risk they take lightly. The question is, what is driving their increase.

As recent as 2008 you could get an American Standard Stratocaster for $999. In 14 years the price has nearly doubled.

Have you looked at the price of appliances? 50% increase. Supply chain issue is a real thing.

Which isn't bad, considering the historical inflation rate doubles prices every 10-15 years.

1978, I paid $600 for my new Strat.
1988 that would have been $1088
1998 that would have been $1500
2008 that would have been $1981
2018 that would have been $2310
    Today it would be $2557.

So the AmPro is still $900 behind where it "should" be even with this latest increase.

A bunch of rich nobodies hoping you buy as much "Fender tagged stringy musical instruments" with your money as possible.

Isn't Fender publicly traded? I am not finding a 200 day chart for symbol FNDR.
