Nice axe, congrats. I would not have thought that color combination works, but it looks great.
Naahh the look is already on point....the knobs enhance the dark look and if something should change that would me the selector switch tip....get a metallic silver looking one....like the knobs.
One of my best sounding strats !
Sweet! HNGD. So is the Warmoth radius the 10-16 compound? Were they doing that in '98? Is Vintique a neck profile they were using then?
I really like my Warmoth fatback! Never thought I'd like a neck that big but I do.
Tortoise makes me want to hurl I just hate them for some reason.
No idea to be honest. I really wish Warmoth would put some info on their neck heels (I realize some do but not all). Unless you have the build sheet for the neck there's no way to tell. I'm picking up this one today, also ebony and the seller says it's big.
Holy crap. I just read on the Warmoth forum that the numbers written on the heel is the nut width. 1.9 inches wide????
they do look good...
not sure if I should spill the beans? but you do know the skinny on that fingerboard right? its 1/4 sawn. scratch the underside of the hangover if it smells like coffee or cocao its likely brazillian.. also google the black light method
its surely 1/4 sawn by the way those are holes look.. SWEET! find a body and make it work..
if you feel you must get rid of it can I get first dibbs?
hope I don't queer the sale but I have no idea the asking price but its likely a $350 neck working 100% the older the better...
Quartersawn ebony smells like coffee?
That’s one FINE lookin’ Strat, Lonn.
I think you might have a fatback there. Notice how the back if the neck is in the same plane as the back of the headstock. A full 1 inch thick all the way. Here's mine.
Is that possible? I believe mine does have 1.625 on the back of the heel.
I have an older Allparts Fat Neck with very similar dimensions. Fantastic quality and construction and its a baseball bat, which I thought I wouldn't like cause of my small hands, but it was actually the opposite. I really dig the "fatness".
I like tort on black , looks great on Jazz Basses as well .
One of my Mario Martin’s started with a Spitfire tortoise guard but I swapped it for mint....
Black/mint is also a great combo. If I were to change it I'd go with mint.
Aw, now you've gone and ruined the thing laddie !!
