    I wouldn't do a thing except put it back together and play it. Lot less overspray there than on many I've seen. Start opening up vintage Strats and scraping off the paint and you would be hanged.

    Mine must have been done by a robot... Funny it's a 2017 American Special, but the part tag still calls it a Highway One.

    And incidentally, almost an identical overspray pattern as the OP, but mine did not transfer to the neck.

    I always say in jest, ‘Look, I’ll fix it or I’ll break it so it can’t be fixed...’ That usually get’s their attention.
