    Hey guys,

Been playing for about 15 months now, I like sharing my progress ever so slightly on the internet so here it is.

A bit of a backstory, I'm a huge Hendrix fan, heavily influenced, Machine Gun is one of my favorite songs (if not #1) but I was always so intimidated of it, specially the intro. So yesterday I finally got around to try and actually play it and I did much better than I expected.

This is one of the takes I did today, it's not really perfect, I haven't practiced it enough and it uses some weird technique I'm not use to but this is me trying my best!

Also wanted to showcase this tone, which I've been drooling over for a while, added the Univibe for Machine Gun and it's just beautiful

Any and every feedback is well appreciated, I know it's rhythmically not 100% there but I'll get there, it's a tough one :)

DISCLAIMER: Excuse my lazy editing, it's a pretty ****ty video, might do a better version with more of the song

Thanks! Feel pretty vulnerable with this video, not my best work it was a huge struggle, not a good showing overall!

Really great tone and a fine rendition of the original Hendrix. The tone is really great and makes you sound just like the man

    Nicely done

that's my favorite Hendrix tune too. The Univibe is so chewy on that. I love it.

i can't seem to get the speed and depth right ... or the playing LOL

Hahaha. I think I got the speed wrong too to be honest, but it still sounds alright I guess.
It's a ***** to play, I have no clue how I managed to learn it so fast, I do play a lot of Hendrix but this one is not like the others really, it's pretty unique.

Keep practicing, we'll get there mate!

Yes, this is really good advice for me actually, I can sometimes get super tense when playing, I'll try to keep my eye on it, thanks for the comment!

You are not English so stop apologising. This is a great achievement for 15 months of effort. I couldn't have done this after 15 years! (and that was 30 years ago).

Wow! Nothing wrong with that playing at all and you've only been at it for 15 months what am I doing wrong, been playing most of my life and can’t play Hendrix worth a crap. Keep it up you’ll be famous one day. Not easy thing to copy another artist playing style, technique or tone. Everyone develops there own style at some point playing. Great job.
