I know it’s not covid. I passed that test. Don’t have a home flu test (not sure they make them) but based on the nausea and the constant dashes to the head pretty sure it’s the flu. Strangely though no fever. Gonna go to urgent care in the morning and get tested and get my “get out of work free” card from the doc.

People I know who tested positive , it was after a day or two after the symptoms started , as advertised .
Hope you feel better soon though.
I had a cold for 2 weeks, not fun

Hope you get or feel or test better!
Maine has a blanket of those lingering colds, people coughing for two months sort of thing.
Flu I have not had in years and may turn into a wailing infant should such come to pass.
IDK, been so long.

I suggest buying many heads of garlic and eat a couple of chopped or crushed cloves each day, raw.
We do this (or I prepare it crushed and served in a teaspoon) and it seems to stave off the creepy crawling germs pretty well.

That said, tomorrow I may have the flu..

Keep well hydrated eliminating infection and viruses is difficult if your running low on the molecule of life. A lot of people don't come close to drinking enough fluids.

Very true. I’ve been drinking nonstop today but it’s coming out faster than I can put it back in. Muscles were starting to get crampy which isn’t good. But I seem to have stabilized a bit with the gastrointestinal stuff and I’m beginning to get rehydrated. Cramps going way. Lips not parched feeling anymore. So silver linings.

Mmmmm, that and I forgot garlic poorly digested due to a rush in the delivery system can cause severe burning!

Go to urgent care asap. There’s a narrow window at the start where you can get some medicine that should shave a few days off your recovery.

Get well soon, whatever it is.

I came down with the flu a week ago today. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I woke up and was out and about last saturday morning . Felt a little tired and groggy but went to work anyway. I stopped for lunch and went inside and sat down. My arms started feeling like they were freezing and soon I was shaking I was so cold and just felt horrible Grabbed a thermometer and took my temperature which read 106. By now all i could do was just sit in a chair. I had the house hearter cranked up and a ceramic heater in front of my chair and felt colder than I ever have been. Was in the chair shaking and almost dullusional from the fever. This lasted 5 hours before my fever went down. The first 3 days I kept a fever just over 100 and would peak at around 103. I did not feel like even moving for a week and had no energy at all. Kept a headache and cough and ached all over. Would wake up at night soaking wet from sweat. Yesterday was the first day i did not feel feverish and the first day I felt like eating. The flu this year is brutal so get your flu shots. Today will be my first day I am able to work again since last saturday. Feels wonderful to feel normal again.
