One of those legendary 70's strats which live wild in the sewers finally caught on camera.

Now when I think about it, I'm glad I didn't buy it.

Maybe this is the one that Ritchie Blackmore set on fire after finding out someone else had taken a dump in his dressing room toilet.

If this one is real, it's not a '77
1976 they moved the serial number from the neck plate to the headstock. This one has the wrong headstock decal for a '76 or later.
But it also lacks a serial number on the neck plate.

The split in the neck could be dirty water damage which would also turn the bare metal rusty. Either there's an unusual chain of eventss that lead to this condition, or someone is trying to make it look relic-ed. One of the reasons I don't like relic. You keep it looking nice and there will never be a doubt as to what you have. Relic-ing does nothing to the tone either, just makes it look terrible, a reeflecion on the owner.

A complete disassembly, a thorough cleaning, new parts where needed. I can see buying if the price is right.

It looks like cleaning, striping paint/stain, sanding, gluing neck, replace electrons, knobs, pickguard, saddles, frets, machine heads, logos, repaint/finish, and so-on and on and on. You could probably get a new U,S,A strat and a Mercedes instead.

560€? Unless it was the strat played by Nero while Rome burned, that is a way too high price.

Certainly an awesome piece, however it got there. Love the fact it was scalloped, too. Very very cool, imagine someone playing great sounding fantastic with that axe on stage...all with no providence or worry!!

Looks like somebody replaced tooth’s, judging by the position of the previous holes. I’m gonna guess MIJ.

Yes, and all the rest of the molecules, which make up what's left of that axe.
