Hi looking to buy a 1991 MIJ Strat. The headstock only has the Fender spaghetti marking. No other marking ex Stratocaster etc. Is that seem legit

Thanks so much for the quick reply. Yes my first post. It is a lefty. He says it’s a 57 reissue 1991 MIJ. What else should I look for. Hope to check it out tomorrow

Like FaaB mentioned....if it is left handed, that is all they give us....

It will depend on the model which wood the body is made out of (most likely basswood) or what pickups will be in the guitar (most likely ceramic).

If it is an ST-57, it should have the string tree like in my photo above along with the same type of vintage tuners. The pickguard should be an 8 screw single ply unit. The saddles should be stamped "Fender"....the truss rod nut should be at the base of the neck.

I don't think that you have to worry to much in regards to it being a fake....I think that is one of the advantages that we have over right handed players...not enough of us to warrant building fake guitars.....don't get wrong, they are out there, just fewer of them...

If possible, you should post some pics of the guitar before you buy it...

    Best of luck...
