I have a guitar center 60s special edition Stratocaster 2015 cerulean blue just popped a string so I removed the trem back cover and there's bubbly paint and a pencil diameter shallow hole behind the trem block in the body the block itself is missdrilld on the hole for the low e string so badly that you can see the hole isn't even round it's flat on one side and a couple of millimeters from the edge of the block so after I see this I removed the pick guard and I see a three piece plywood body with a front and back cap panel body. Guitar center said over the phone it's been 8 months and it may be out of there hands so I call fender a they say don't go back to guitar center take it to American music co there the number one fender dealer in Fresno ca so I did and as fender said they confiscated the guitar and told me fender may send me a replacement let me here from my fellow members thanks guys and gals

    Fender confiscated the guitar?
    What?

I'm very confused. A hole was drilled in the body for the low e string? On a tremolo-equipped guitar? That makes zero sense to me. I also echo Daveho's confusion on the confiscation.

    Plywood, really?

Did you buy the guitar new From Guitar Center?

Any way to post a picture of that, to show the hole and the plywood?

More info please. This sounds incredibly shifty.

Fender doesn't make plywood bodies. Something's not right here for sure.

it may be easier to read if it wasnt 2 sentences.

what i got out of it was there was a pencil sized flat hole behind the trem block? on a plywood body that had peices laminated to either side of it...

and your guitar was taken to a fender dealer and fender wanted it and may send you a new one?

try it again, and slow down...

I've had good luck with American Music in Fresno. I've been dealing with them for years. That said there have been some changes recently, but I have no reason to think they won't take care of you. They did a nice warranty deal for me on a 65 DRRI that I bought second hand. That was several years back.

If the thing is plywood you have a fake. Fender can't confiscate guitars, nor would they replace a fake. Something here doesn't add up at all.

So when you write a story there should be some sort of punctuation to delineate each sentence from the next so we have an idea of where you are going with this story on of the best parts is how hit helps us understand the words that are coming out of your fingers and we can interpret the meaning of these long run on sentences and why you use them each and evey one of us understands some of what you are saying but I say get a wood chipper
