Hey gang - I found this beauty online and am not crazy about the color or the rosewood fretboard, but this could scratch an itch for me as I really liked my HSS squire that I traded for and Orange amp earlier this year, and I’m coming around to it. The seller was asking $300 for it and I think with the strat craze going on right now, that seems a little on the low end of what people are asking. Can I enlist your collective expertise just to verify authenticity? Thanks in advance!

That seems too cheap. Guitar looks fine and in excellent condition. Begs the question of why so cheap.

Nice pencil- shame it's hiding the serial. The year date would be helpful. Color is Crimson Burst
Could be a Strat Special from 1994-6

Seller claims it’s a ‘95 fat strat so that seems consistent - just worried about the price really, but if it plays nice who cares, right?

Plug the serial number in here to help authenticate:
    https://start.fender.com/

It's not a sure thing... not all numbers get input, but it's pretty complete from 2000 on
